Gyotaku of Ash LeavesWe have a couple of Ash trees in the garden. I'm not sure if they will survive but I'm hoping they do. They have pretty leaves that print well. the first backing paper I use is a Chinese Mulberry paper

each piece is hand-torn and individually made

I've always loved printing feathers they make a very effective print and are popular amongst my clients

However I was not expecting this

It has then been wet mounted using the traditional Japanese method

After which time I can simply be peeled off the board

this will be cut down to the same size as the print for framing

I’ve used a blue and a gold acrylic screen printing ink

We walk our dogs past the Menai Strait everyday
