Paul Young Bob Doerr Bamboo Rod 9' 2/2 #8For sale here is a Paul H. Young "Bob Doerr" 9' bamboo rod, complete with original bag and tube. The rod is in excellent++ original condition. Serial #3883 built by Paul Young, finished and delivered to Stuart Fenton by Jack Young in February 1960 shortly before Paul's death. The rod features the gold script so coveted by Paul Young enthusiasts. The tapered cigar grip is in fine condition, as are all of the wraps on the rod. The 17 64 ferrule fit is

7/8" pillar length

The rod features straw-colored cane with transparent light honey wraps and chestnut tipping

This rod has been very lightly used with some minimal brassing on the ferrules and slight cracking to the ferrule wraps but is certainly in very good condition overall

For sale here is a supremely scarce Hardy Perfect 3 1/8" fly reel in left hand retrieve

This rod was refinished by me in the early '80s

The drag will stop any salmon you are lucky enough to catch and boasts a 1

3 3/16" in diameter and set up for LHW

The rod is in mint condition with the Hardy-labeled plastic still on the grip

Medium cigar grip with a heat shrink plastic wrapper over it

At a diameter of 3 1/8" the IV is a great all around reel for 5-7 weight lines
