SOLD……..A fitted, gold tooled, red leather sewing set / etui. c1840.A good looking red leather case or 'Lady's Companion' decorated with gold tooling and fitted with silver sewing tools. English c1840. The interior has a notelet made of waxed card at the back and a leather tool pad containing silver handled scissors, a silver bodkin and a silver handled stiletto. The leather unfolds to reveal a cloth for loose needles and sections to take lengths of thread. In front there is a fitted red velvet pin cushion on the
